Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Forkbell iPhone app and the Forkbell Pro subscription, provided by Tax One Advisory (OPC) Private Limited, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. They apply alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted.

1. Not medical advice

Forkbell helps you log food, activity and workouts and shows general wellness information, such as calorie and macro targets and recovery indicators. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or a history of eating disorders.

2. AI estimates are approximate

Calorie and macro estimates from photos, descriptions or product names are produced by AI and can be wrong. Check them, and edit them where you know better. Nutrition data from barcode databases is provided by third parties and may also contain errors.

3. Who can use Forkbell

You must be 18 or older to use Forkbell.

4. Free plan and Forkbell Pro

• Free: 3 AI food estimates a day (photo or description), resetting at midnight India time. Barcode scans, manual entry and all other features are free.
• Forkbell Pro: up to 30 AI food estimates a day. This fair-use limit keeps the service fast and affordable for everyone.
• Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel any time in the iPhone Settings app › your name › Subscriptions.
• If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change; Apple will notify you before any price increase applies to you. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: for example, don't access our server other than through the app, attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse-engineer or overload the service, or upload unlawful content. We may suspend AI access for misuse.

6. Your content

You own the photos, descriptions and logs you create. You allow us to process photos and descriptions you submit only to return estimates, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

Forkbell works with Apple services (Apple Health, iCloud, Sign in with Apple, the App Store), Google's Gemini AI, Open Food Facts and UPCitemdb, and links to YouTube for exercise videos. Their own terms and policies apply, and we are not responsible for their availability or content.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Forkbell running well but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. Your data on your device and in your iCloud stays yours, and you can export it at any time from Settings › Backup & Restore.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forkbell is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made based on estimates or information in the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Forkbell Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

10. Ending use

You can stop using Forkbell at any time and delete your data from Settings › Account & iCloud › Delete Account & Data. Cancelling a subscription is done through Apple as described above.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have to bring proceedings where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
